Frequently Asked Questions

Production timelines change periodically depending on the volume of orders they are working on. During Covid, timelines were extended due to labor and material shortages; however, we are seeing the timelines come back down. Each manufacturer has different timelines so the range can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 18 weeks. If you are working within a time constraint just let us know and we will guide you accordingly.

We carry several cabinet lines that range from stock cabinets to custom, and the difference you will hear often is “fit and finish”. A stock cabinet line offers a standard set of cabinet sizes, doors styles selections,  and colors. A semi-custom/custom cabinet line will have more available door styles and colors to choose from, as well as an improved overall appearance in finish and construction. They will also have additional offerings in wood specie, custom paints, and sheen options, and the ability to really customize sizes and design.

There is no straight answer because so many variables impact the cost. Selections that will impact cost, to name a few, are things such as: quality of cabinetry, finish and style selections, accessories, moldings that are being used, details in the finished cabinet ends, and ceiling/cabinet height desired. These are all details that are important to know when trying to establish your budget. Every kitchen is designed specifically for the space so no two kitchens are the same.

JKB handles the design, order, and delivery of your order. We do not facilitate any of the labor portion of your project. We want to give our clients the flexibility to work with a contractor of their choice, or we can recommend one of our preferred contractors

Everything we sell is made to order; we do not have cabinets in stock available for day of pick up. We do, however, have a few vendors with a speedy turn around time for delivery.

We require a 50% deposit when we place the order for your cabinets. The remaining 50% is due once your cabinets leave the factory and prior to delivery.

An idea of a budget is extremely important  when starting a project of this size. There are so many factors and parts that go into these projects, and this really helps guide you through options. If your budget does not align with your wants and needs, then it gives us the opportunity to discuss this upfront and discuss other options.

This is not included with the cabinet order. However, we offer an array of styles and finishes, and price points. All hardware purchased from JKB will come with a customized sizing installation guide with recommendations for your unique design.

We would be happy to assist you with all of your selections throughout the process! We handle our design services at a per hour rate and extend our trade discounts to you for direct purchase. Please reach out for more info!

Yes! We coordinate with you on a delivery date. Someone 18 or older must be present to receive and sign for the cabinets. The day prior to your delivery, you will be provided with a time window for the arrival.

We will do our best to gauge your order timing for when your cabinetry will be needed. However, should you need extra time, we can store your cabinets for up to 21 days free of charge. After this grace period the warehouse charges a weekly storage fee that we pass on to you. We will give you plenty of advance notice when your cabinets are shipping and arriving from the factory so you have time to plan and get the project site ready.

Damages can happen, and unfortunately are out of our control. If you should encounter any kind of damage, please take a picture of the damage and submit it to us prior to installation. We will then determine if this can be repaired in the field or if we need to submit a warranty replacement claim.

Warranties are always an urgent matter, and we will do everything we can to expedite the process!

“We engaged JKB Kitchen & Bath to take a dreary, outdated kitchen and dining room and transform it into the warm, inviting space it is today. Jenny worked closely with us to translate our wants, needs, and absolute must-have’s into an open concept kitchen and dining that serves as our family’s central hub—a place where the cooking, homework, and our family come together. We couldn’t have found a better partner than JKB Kitchen & Bath to guide us on this large project and transformation!”

She listened and understood our vision, met with us in our home and at her showroom, and carefully produced numerous layouts that provided us with everything on our “must have list. Once we had chosen the cabinetry, tile, countertop and accessories - Jenny was in charge. She handled the order placement, product arrival, and collaboration with our contractor with ease. Overall, this major house remodel was seamless due to her professionalism and knowledge. We would highly recommend this company to others and we look forward to working with her again in the near future!”

“Jenny D’Agostino of JKB designed a new master bedroom and bath for our new home, a beach cottage in Narragansett. Jenny did a beautiful job of taking our ideas and style and creating a functional and beautifully designed space that is beyond what we envisioned. Our home originally had 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. She designed our master suite by combining 2 bedrooms. When we first walked into the ensuite it took our breath away. The tile wall behind the tub is gorgeous as is the floor tile. We gave Jenny total artistic freedom and we could not have been happier with her choices. She has an amazing ability to listen to who we are and what we wanted and she created a design that was us.”
