Design Consultation

We put the time and energy into each design space as if it was our own. We utilize our design expertise and your vision and needs to create the perfect space. We begin by discussing your desired aesthetics, functionality and any new specific needs you have. Whether you prefer a sleek modern design or a cozy farmhouse, we will create a unique layout that not only matches your taste but also optimizes space and workflow.

Our Process

Step 1: Discovery call

The first part of our process is to begin with a call to discuss your initial wants, needs, and the goals you are trying to achieve with your project. We will talk about the scope of work, your style, timeline, and budget. We will explain how our services work and give you some options on which option would be the best fit for you.

Step 2: Site Visit & Measure or House Plan Review

Our next step would be to meet in person.

We will meet at your home to talk more in detail about style, colors, likes and dislikes. This would also be a great time to share any inspiration images, Pinterest boards, etc. that may be helpful in describing your style. We will take detailed measurements, notes, and pictures of the existing space, and then be on our way to start the designing!

Step 3: Floor Plan Layout and Design

We believe in creating beautiful, functional, and minimalist designs that increase efficiency, and enhance your lifestyle. Our design process ensures that every detail is tailored to your unique needs and preferences.

Step 4: Client Presentation

We will then propose renderings that we have created of your new space. Our next meeting will be at the showroom to review any changes you would like to see,and to start reviewing materials, accessories, and details for the estimate stage.

Step 5: Estimate proposal

Now that your preliminary design is complete, we are ready to start estimating materials. We will work with our vendors on the costs for cabinetry, counter tops, hardware, and any accessories discussed per the design.

*Now is a good time to start getting labor estimates!

Step 6: Orders, Approvals,
& Deposits

We have made all the final adjustments and your design is now complete! We will prepare your final documents for your final approval and signature. A 50% deposit is due upon ordering and we are ready to go!

The team at JKB will keep you updated on the status of your order. We will explain the delivery service options and be in constant contact as your project progresses.
